Sharon Ketterling
General Manager
Sharon manages the office, does the billing, acts as HR administrator and keeps us all on track. She has been an official member of the BASM staff since 1998, but, she has been actively involved in many important ways since the company was founded in 1985. Sharon uses Sage PRO ERP to manage the financial affairs for BASM and is sold on the MDI interface as it allows her to “finish a task from beginning to end”, even if she gets interrupted.
Her mantra is “efficiency AND effectiveness”; right in line with our slogan, “Realistic Solutions”. Her emphasis is making certain that every employee has the tools they require to get the job done correctly and on time. She has been known to point all of us in the right direction when troubleshooting sticky problems. Sharon is always evaluating the “repeatability” of a procedural issue – “Can this task be performed on a continuing basis?” and “Does it provide enough value for the cost of doing it?”
Sharon is married to Ron, our President. They have four children, two of whom work in the business. Sharon’s great joys include their six grandchildren and worship music. She received her formal education in psychology and teaching at North Dakota State University and has recently completed her Associates of Fine Arts in Music at Anoka Ramsey Community College.
