Client feedback from Dennis Cole (EZ Way Products, LLP in Waterbury, Connecticut)
EZ Way manufacturers and distributes EZ Products. Our products are used to transfer patients from the bed, toilet, wheelchair and floor. They are ergonomically designed and electronically powered to significantly reduce back injuries for caregivers and dramatically increase patient safety.
EZ Way is a family-owned company with manufacturing and operations headquartered in Clarinda, Iowa. Since 1994, our mission has been to develop, market, and service the highest quality and most functional patient transferring equipment in the industry.
Our latest experience with Business Automation Specialists involved bringing our legacy Pro Series Accounting and Everest Manufacturing up to date and, at the same time, convert to an MS SOL database. We faced many challenges during this process. The three primary challenges were:
1. Adjusting from a customized Pro installation to a non-customized Pro installation.
2. Creating a link from GoldMine to an SOL Pro database.
3. Converting to the latest version of Everest Manufacturing which had only been installed at one other Pro location.
With half of all our systems being virtually untried, we had a lot of room for problems. Careful planning included weekly status meetings at EZ Way and weekly conference calls with BASM. The willingness of our end users to disrupt their regular tasks to vigorously test their functions on a trial conversion of our system was a critical piece of the success of our live conversion. Once the live conversion was completed, it was back to business as usual. There was no additional downtime. The anxiety, questions, and problems that normally accompany an extensive upgrade just weren’t there. This is a testament to how well both your team and our team did our respective jobs.
I would recommend Business Automation Specialists to anyone contemplating either a brand-new implementation or an upgrade of any magnitude.
